先容恩平大钟楼

The Big Bell Tower in Enping was founded in 1930 (the 19th year of the period of the Republic of China). It has a history of more than 90 years until now.

At the very beginning, it was constructed as the county's public library. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, it successively functioned as the office building of the county's Party Committee, Armed Forces Department as well as the museum of Enping city.

In 2012, the People's Government of Guangdong Province declared it as one of the 7th batch of the cultural relics protection units in Guangdong.

Sitting north to south, the Big Bell Tower has a unique architectural style that combines the east and the west. It shapes like the Chinese character "凸". Because of the big bell on its roof, people entitled it as the "Big Bell Tower".

The building was carved with four big Chinese characters which not only means you can embrace the entire beauty of the Enping city when standing on the top of it, but also inspires people to look far, aim high and think as a whole.

The Big Bell Tower is a precious cultural relic of Enping city. It's also a vivid embodiment of Enping people's passion for learning as well as their pursuit of progress. May this precious cultural heritage and the spirit of studiousness and ambitiousness be passed on and carried forward in Enping generations after generations.

恩平大钟楼始建于1930年（中华民国19年），于今已有90多年历史。

建成之初，用作恩平县公立藏书楼。中华东谈主民共和国成立之后，它先后用作县委办公室、武装部办公用房以及恩平市博物馆。

2012年广东省东谈主民政府公布其为广东省第七批文物保护单元。

坐北朝南，大钟楼领有土洋结合的独到建筑立场。它形如中国翰墨“凸”，因楼顶装有一个大钟，东谈主们称之为“大钟楼”。

大钟楼上塑了“明察秋毫”四个大字，其含意不啻于在此登高可远看恩平表象，还勉励东谈主们要眼神、宽广顾全大局。

大钟楼是恩平一份珍稀的文化遗产，亦然恩平东谈主深爱念书以及追求跳动的机动体现。希望这份珍稀的文化遗产和勤学上进的精神，大要在恩平代代传承、线路光大。
